Liquid Color

My company recently switched from pellets to liquid color. It's seems to me that after the switch, we have had an increased amount of black specs in our product. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I've also heard that it can do damage to the screw, any truth to this?

Hi,
I do not think there is any truth to that. You may need to change your process conditions for the liquid color. Also need to make sure that the liquid is compatible with the base resin. Not all color bases are compatible with all base resins.

Thank you for the response. We are in the process of removing all liquid color from production due to the amount of mess and la k of training. Back to old pellet colors!
