Mechanical Drop Bar "JAM" Bar Check

I was wondering how often other Molding Facilities do a JAM or Drop bar check on their Injection Molding Machines. Machines that were made in the Mid 1990s or newer, all of our machines have Hydraulic and Electrical door interlocks that work with the Jam bar for machine and operator Safety. Any Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have had operators unintentionally test them. Not something I would suggest, but depending on the machine you can check it pretty easily. With Engel and Sumitomo machines you can see the drop bar easily through the plexiglass. So just open the door and make sure it functions. So those can be done daily fairly easily if you want. Others you have remove a cover or peer over the top of a panel. So not as easy to visually see those. I usually just follow what the manufacturer suggests for PM schedules and they are usually covered in them.
