Looking for info/suggestions for job scheduling systems in use by other shops. The system we use now is called Made to Manage and its a nightmare.
Jobs come in, presses are arranged for setups and the jobs disappear, or due dates change, etc. etc. Any sense of order or long range planning is impossible for more than 1/2 -1 day out. We are a captive molder, so data is generated internally. Very frustrating and lost set up time costs dollars.
Any ideas, input much appreciated. I know this could open a big can of worms with the possibilities at hand. Anyway, thanks. G.P.
