    metric fittings

    Hi all.
Looking for male quick disconnect fittings. Looks like your average fitting that you can get anywhere, such as from PPE, part # pn-352,but can"t seem to locate the correct thread. The od is 12.5 and has a coarse thread. only 3 threads per.337.Any ideas for a supplier?

Sounds like 3/8"G or gas thread. That's same as British straight pipe parallel. Does the fitting have a sealing ring that looks like a washer under it or o ring? If you measure the end of the thread and the top they should be same size. The thread pitch is one thread less than NPT.

Get a thread pitch gauge so you can determine pitch then measure the OD with calipers to figure out what thread they are. Some G threads have an aluminum, plastic or copper seal ring that looks like a washer under them. Others have an O ring molded onto the bottom of the fitting. The area under the fitting will have a flat machines area for the seal. I've never seen a metric fitting from Asia so now I'm curious.

PPE (Plastic Process Equipment should have them, as Rick says, get a thread gauge.
