Mold Temperature impact on part shrinkage

What is the impact to part shrinkage on Thermal Plastic Rubber material using a mold without temperature regulation? I am currently experience unacceptable sink and excessive shrink in my parts and I wanted to understand if regulating the temperature of the mold during and after injection would improve my output.
    Thank you for any help.

    Hi JamesCO,
The mold temperatures MUST be regulated. This may or may not take care of your sink and shrink issue, because it is all to do with part design, mold design, the molding material, your process, etc. But definitely, adding water will improve your consistency. If you do not have water, there is no out let from the heat of the melt to leave the mold. The mold gets hotter and hotter and you will get sink and a lot of shrink since the molecules will be exposed to a hot mold. You will have to leave it in there for a longer time to get the cooling and then ...... no just get the cooling .... I will have to rewrite the book here
