Injection molding automated labeling robot

I am looking for some info on automated robot labeling. The pros, cons, and issues anyone has ran into. We are looking to integrate a smaller fanuc robot in one of our cells to label our molded fascias. What are some common issues we will face and does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

Could you laser mark the part and not even need to fight the labels? You can laser mark pretty easy depending on resin and if not you can add something that the laser energy can cause a color shift.
If your marking containers then you'll need the label and it shouldn't be a big deal with a Fanuc. We went to one of our customers once and they had every type of robot (gantry, X and Y axis gantries as well as six axis) placing printed labels on parts. The fight will be with getting the label in a consistent location for pick up, though a Fanuc with their vision system might make short work of that.

Rickbatey makes a great point but do your research on lasers, we upgraded to laser units from ink and they were class 4 Co2 units that had to have enclosures around. You have to reload labels and they have placement issues. For the robot make sure they will all communicate with each other.
