Have any of you guys worked with Kuka robots? If so.. Are they a quality product and how do they compare to Fanuc or motoman 6 axis robots

    Re: Kuka robots

I've worked with them and many German company's use them. I didn't like the six axis mouse when trying to move the robot arm so I learned to reverse step the robot to clear the clamp area. They were strong and repeatable but I wasn't crazy about them.
The Fanuc is still my six axis robot of choice but Iv'e been looking at Denso for future work. I like Motoman as well but the Fanuc controller is easier to program. Also I've worked on ABB, another German OEM favorite. Again the controller wasn't as user friendly as the Fanuc or Motoman.
Also we are close to Staubli and Engel offers them fully integrated into the press. From the six axis robot trainers and integrators I've talked to, Staubli and ABB are the best for really complicated programming based on language and execution.
