    Compounds/Additives/Etc in Resins and their purpose

    Hello all.

    I would like to start an informative thread about additives in resins, mostly about the types of additives/compounds/etc and what their purposes are.

    Currently, the modifiers I know of are;

    Mica:
    Calcium:
    Talc:
    Glass: Adds toughness to parts
    Heat Stabilization:

    That's one ones I have on the top of my head. If anyone has anything to add or can add to what I already have, I will edit my post and add them.

    I'd like to see some informative posts on this board, as there are many experienced molders within this community, and I feel we could help share info that we've all learned over the years that could help the current and future generations of molders.
