Insertmolding: Electrical components
Hey everybody,
I recently made an account on this forum. There is alot of helpfull information and it seems like a nice community!
Im a 23 year old mechanical engineering student, and for my final assignment I need to research the work-flow of the Insertmolding process. I would like to insert electrical components. I know the basics of moulding but Insertmouldings seems to be a totally different world.
Can anybody give me some advice. I need a kickstart to launch this project so any examples or documents reffering to this matter are greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Marc
Ps. Im located in the Netherlands

Re: Insertmolding: Electrical components
Hi Marc,
Every insert molding job is different. The basic principle is to put the insert in the mold, have a way to hold it, close the mold, have a way to hold it in place during injection, and the rest of it remains the same. Not sure what else I can put here. It is a VERY vast topic and every part is unique. Hope you can post some specifics and we can help.
