    Injection molding of below shown part

    We need to manufacture attached image part by injection molding. Can anyone please suggest is it manufacturable or nor..challenges, suggestions, alternate method?
    Material: Ticona Vectra 540i, 1.5mm thick
    Qty: < 150/ year
    Rough dwg, dim. in mm

    Hi,
    Injection Molding for less than 150 parts a year will be very expensive - mainly because of cost of mold and machine time. It is also thick for molding. Not sure from the drawing about the mini-features you need. You may try to go to a a composites manufacturer - wild guess here. I have been reading a lot about 3-D printing. Think out of the box and may be you have the answer!

    For that volume they should find another method. Isn't that resin an LCP?

    Thank you for suggestions....Basically this part is going to be used in high temp. environment (Up to 250 degree C)..Material is Ticona Vectra 540i


    What alternate menthods for manuifacturing exists...sorry I am new to plastic world!
