Help with Boy 22S
Hi, my name is Tim.
I'm new to this forum, and new to injection molding. I am in the US (Minnesota) and I am in machine maintenance.
I don't know if this is the right place for me, but I am hoping if there are some people here that can help me out.
We have a BOY 22S (vertical) that is making a horrible clanging noise when the mold opens after clamping force is generated, the noise does not occur if the mold does not close all the way.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Help with Boy 22S
Have you checked the mechanical drop bar safety? That was the source of a similar situation with an even smaller press.

Re: Help with Boy 22S
Solved the problem.... The previous maintenance shift changed the mold open/mold close valve, and they put in a valve with the wrong port configuration.
Installed correct valve, and all is fine.
