    Re: Question On Injection Machine

Santoprene and many other soft resins are blends of EPDM and PP. Running them is like most PP based resins. Some resins will run on thermoplastic machines if the compression ratio is not too high. Some polyurethanes are not thermoplastic and need a special screw design reverse heat profile. If really depends on resin and mold.
NOTE: PVC is very heat sensitive (shear as well). Excessive residence time or compression will force PVC to break down of give off the chlorine! If you dont know how to run it; find some local help! You can evacuate a plant in a hurry!
