mold temperature affects mass of the product?
Hello everyone,
as in the title..i was wondering if the mold temperature has any effect on the final mass of your product (polypropylene actually)..and if there is an effect what and why is it?

Hi,
In theory, higher the mold temp, easier will the melt flow into the mold. Therefore the part weight will increase till the gate freezes off. Gate freeze times also increase with mold increasing mold temps. That is one reason I suggest doing a gate freeze study on the top right hand corner of the process window diagram.
