    Lightbulb Need Help with a Mold

    I'm new to molding and need to manufacture a product through a small shop which I need to locate. What i need to manufacture will basically look like a 36" deep dish pizza pan with a 4" rim but with thicker walls. It would need to be made of really tough plastic that could take a licking and is abrasion resistant.

    I'm in Colorado and any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm unsure if injection molding or the old fill up the mold type of work is best considering the size of this mold.

    Hi GeneYo,
    If you are looking for a 26" dia pan, that will be too big to mold. You will need like 5000 ton machine and this will cost you a fortune. (Sorry if you are millionaire, etc ) You may have to look around for other methods, especially if the volumes are not very high.
