    KM Not achieving clamp pressure.

    Hi, we have a KM 200-1000 C1.
    No matter what the clamp pressure is set at, the actual value is 8-9% below what it is set at.
    The brings up the clamp pressure not achieved alarm.
    Is this the pressure sensor needing calibrating? If so, is it possible to do it or do we need KM to do it?
    Thanks.

    Yes, you will need to calibrate it. However, if you have not have much experience with it, it is well worth to get the KM Tech to do it.

    REMARK:
    the calibration is necessary. Please contact KM service. it is a best way...
    Before, please check the clamping force drop after 10 minutes. If it is too much more than 12% of clamping force achieved directly after loading, can be clamping unit resealed.
    The calibration of machine is not only calibration of pressure sensor, but also calibration of hydraulic pump output p/v and p/v control card. KM is using also Bosch rexroth control card for pumps.....

    First of all, please try to clean el. connector on pressure sensor and wire...

    Greetings;

    My question would be when was the last time the column seals and intensifiers rebuilt? Not a fun job but some KM's need to have them done almost yearly.
