    FR Rated Materials

Does anyone have a presentation or write-up on the general guidelines for molding FR rated materials. Like what temperature does non-halogenated FR additives start to degrade and what other process setting, mold and part designs are detrimental?

Low shear, low residence time, good venting.

For mold design you may need a corrosion resistant coating or steel.

the base is to have a propper drying and proper process temeratures You have to still have in the brain, that the material contain FR aditives, which are sensitive for temperature. If FR aditive during burning is releasing the gass. The FR can by started by temperature. Also high injection speed (high shear) can bring a silvering issue. This is a base for building of process.
