Unhappy KM 175/700/C2 35 mm Screw is stuck

Had a check ring on the screw fail and when I went to pull the screw out of the barrel it was pulling smooth right until the check ring got within 2 inches of the feed throat. I have been trying for 8 hours to free this darn thing but can't get it to budge. Any suggestions?

PS I did have the barrel hot and had purged all the plastic out. Even with the barrel cooled off I can rotate the screw by hand and wiggle it back and forth with normal check ring movement. The check ring is just stuck/wedged.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Thank you

Ahh!! That is too bad! Unfortunately, nothing you can do.
If the barrel is clean, let it cool down completely. Then set the heats to the highest safe settings and then as the heats are going up, try to see if the check right will move. The idea is to not let the check ring heat up and so I said do it as the heats are going up before the heat transfers over.
All the best! Let us know. I hope you succeed.

Not familiar with the machine, typically if the screw is a little stuck i would use a spacer and press it out with the injection unit.
