we will make a family mold and this will be the first.

could you share some info. about family molds? (What should be runner dia. and length or any info about family mold)

hello, the family tool must be properly balanced, especialy when you can use a cold runner with one injection gate. You can use also cascase hot runner, where you will be able to control filling.
Is hard to answer your question. It depends on parts size, how many cavities, material, cycle time......

I have developed a family mold with 5 dissimilar cavities. The mold used sequential valve gates and my process was predicted based on simulation from RJG Inc.
