Autojector HS-30 not turning screw fast enough

I have a Autojector HS-30 machine which does not turn the screw fast enough. The hydraulic motor turns the screw fast without material being fed but once material (Flexible PVC) is fed, the speed decreases to about 40rpm. My thinking is that either my hydraulic pump is not getting enough volume to the motor or my screw is very dull. (I'm leaning to the first.) Any ideas would be appreciated.

I also think it is the first. Is there is torque setting that you can play with?

Thank you for your response. The only control of the hydraulic motor is a needle valve. (Besides the on/off solenoid valve)

Sounds like a lack of pressure or a bad screw motor. If there wasn't enough volume, it would never rotate fast.
Under a load, there's insufficient pressure/torque to maintain the speed. My 2 cents.

Has it ever ran correctly? Maybe your heats are too cold or not as high as they’re showing on screen.
