Remove screw from Kraus Maffei 200-1000 C1
Hi, I am struggling to remove the screw coupling from a 1997 KM 200-1000 C1 (plate says C1, although I think the screen says C3M).
I’ve undone the 2x grubscrews, but can’t get the lock ring off. The manual doesn’t say it is a left hand thread but a post I’ve found on here says it is!
Does anyone know for definite which way I should be turning it?!
Thanks.

Re: Remove screw from Kraus Maffei 200-1000 C1
Hi,
When I worked in maintenance (a long time ago) I found out that since the screw turns always in one direction, that is how it would also turn to tighten something. If not, it would come lose during molding. This is the hint you can use.
Please do let us know what you find.
Thanks
Suhas

It is a looooong time ago for me..... If I remember, inside are two halfmoons and the locking nuts are fixating the halfmoons in position. Halfmoons are connected by rubber O-ring. The screw is grooved shaft and sometimes (when the nuts are free) the ends od gooves can be muschroomed, which makes difficult screw takeout....

Thanks, I spoke to KM and it’s a left hand thread. Still took a 7 foot bar to undo it!
Strange that the manual states the screw tip is a left hand thread but not the coupling.
After that it slid straight out.
