I'd really appreciate this too. I'm working on developing some in house. Once complete I'll post mine too.

What material?
What nozzle size and what is the sprue opening?
Assuming you checked the nozzle for damage and alignment?
If the carriage isn't moving back at all and the nozzle seat and nozzle...
50 pieces is a really small quantity. Do you have a mold already? Can you have them machined instead?
I don't know the exact chemistry but typically photoluminescence is driven by the absorption of higher energy UV photons. The UV stabilizer might be inhibiting this.
I run a few 48 cavity acetal molds. Your temps are kind of high but that might be necessary due to deficiencies of the hot runner. Can you split the hot runner plates to remove the solidified tip on...
What benefit are you hoping to get by changing the process?
We have a four cavity bearing/POM overmold project. Like ijchan223 said, you need to seal off on the outer race, not the seal. Our overmold comes down a few thousandths around the race to keep the...
I hate how often that happens. Glad you got it resolved and thanks for the follow-up.
Is a pressure loss study even necessary on newer machines (last 20 years) that can graph the injection pressure vs screw position?
Low shear, low residence time, good venting.
For mold design you may need a corrosion resistant coating or steel.
I haven't had any training but have been using moldflow for awhile and have been trying to find time to compare results to the real world.
The most important aspect of getting reliable results is...
Filled it out, although I've never heard the term 'wet cycle'.
The housings? A lot of times they are made from glass and mineral filled nylons, or PC/ABS.
We just got a brand new hydraulic from them. It has performed well and the ability to control the mold heaters from the main screen is nice. The interface can be slow to change screens, and we had a...
I've only ever done it the other way. Is there no way to overmold the buttons into the housing? I would be worried about the ABS deforming the softer TPE.
We have older dual bed dryers with molecular sieve desiccant. If you reach out to your supplier they should be able to answer all your questions and make sure you're getting setup with everything you...
This is how most dryers I've used work. The return air is passed over a dessicant bed to remove the absorbed moisture.
We run a couple molds like this, 48 cavity in Celcon M90. Cosmetics at the gate are poor, we also had issue with cold slugs from the gate causing parts to split at the knit line during assembly.
...
Anyone else doing the Paulson Simtech challenges? Might be interesting to discuss, any opinions if it promotes good or bad habits? How do you think it translates to the real world?
You can sign up...
We got a PPE mixing nozzle with four elements and that helped substantially. The parts are small with constant wall thickness, hollow cylinders about 1.5" long.
The images you posted are fairly small and make it difficult to read the graphs, you may want to reupload them to somewhere like Imgur and link them here.
Is there any sort of velocity limit on...
A small update, we ran another tool that is a cold runner with the same shot size but different parts. No color issues were observed with this mold, but some processing changes were made that will...
I'm not sure how to solve it, but it looks like a delay in the response of the machine. Is this an electric or hydraulic machine?
Another update, smaller barrier screw is installed. Mixing in the liquid color is very homogeneous but the knit line issue remains. Waiting to hear back from Mold Masters and hopefully get a...
Thanks for the input, I'll be doing a DoE soon. We have a smaller screw for the machine that is a barrier screw designed for acetal, but the supplier was not able to install it while they were here...
