Re: Run mold water at 248F !

I wouldn’t use disconnects due to coming off, leaking seals and soon. I would JIC or Flare fittings. If you’re worried about change over times, plumb the molds with manifolds and use larger fittings...

Re: Help: Acrylic Black Specks and Pitting

Has this ever ran good? The pitting sounds like gels or unmelted pellets. The nozzle tips looks incorrect for the sprue too. I would use the Eliminator from Sam Kern or properly sized full internal...

    Re: PMMA Molding< WARP>

We really don’t have enough information to help you root cause the issue. You could be running mold cold or melt too hot/cold or even the pack/hold phase incorrectly.

  6. Re: Autojector HS-30 not turning screw fast enough

Has it ever ran correctly? Maybe your heats are too cold or not as high as they’re showing on screen.

  7. Re: Cleaning hot runner / manifolds while colour changing

To clean the hot runner you have to raise temperatures and open all valve gates. Run back pressure at max with max to medium rpm. Donít recover and shoot through mold because that wonít clear the...

    Re: molding with electrical pins

So you didn’t mention it but I think you’d be better off preheating the inserts too. The inserts can freeze the melt before it can completely flow around the pin. Also ensure you have great venting...

    Re: K 2019

Sorry to disappoint but I’ve not made a K-show yet and only one NPE is Chicago many years ago. It’s in my list but not happened so far.

    Re: Mold saver

I’ve seen this with German Tier 1’s but’s it’s also an oxygen scavenger and rust prevention paper. We quit using it due to long time to remove before molding parts.

Re: Yushin Robots in injetion process

You need to purchase from Yushin. Be mindful because there are settings required for the older or newer controllers. It makes it quite easy but they are a handful at times since you must use Flex to...

Re: ENGEL CC300 Network Drive setup

You will have to name a folder in file named “data” with the serial number of the press. If you use the software that came with the press it’s easy. You can also select the network as the storage...

Re: Soft TPU sticking in sprue bushing

Have you had the sprue bushing vapor honed? Is there a good cold slug under the bushing and an ejector pin to help pull it out of the mold?
I ran a PUR job once and it took 4-5x the pack/hold time...

Re: Pe and pet resin screw

Best to use the GP screw sent in the press as the OEM spent numerous hours designing and testing the design. Plus you are flexible in what resins and work you can do in the future. Only use special...

Re: European voltage machine in US?

The motor and controller should be checked to confirm that they will run 60 hertz. While the pump should spin faster at the new hertz, the controller power supply might run too low or high on the...

    Re: Waviness/Ripple on Part

I agree the mold is too cold and the melt too high. What’s the MF of the resin? Might be too low for flow length of parts.

  17. Re: Mucel causing zones in barrel to rise in temp far above set point.

Is this press a new one with the proper systems for MuCell or an afterthought retrofit? Without the exception I gut screw, counter pressure on the screw and proper non return valve; you will live...

    Re: High Hot runner temps.

With that much glass filler a standard hot runner will wear out very quickly due to abrasiveness of the fibers. I’d make sure the screw reaches shot size and then stops decompression about 2-3...

    Re: Material Stock Temperature

You can make a piece to go into the hopper out of sheet metal and cut the hopper volume down to reduce time in the hopper. I’ve done this many times over the years.

Re: Blush or Graying at molded part edges

Looks like a wall thickness change reading through. I think you’ll have to adjust wall thickness change on underside to fix the issue.
BTW how much draft is on the part? Little draft could create a...

Re: Ultem and CF Peek in an aluminum mold

Re: Ultem and CF Peek in an aluminum mold

How are you heating the tool? Can you get it hotter? Perhaps the runner is freezing too soon hence the sinks or voids. Can you injection compression the parts? Maybe that would work.
