    Re: Excessive contraction on cores.

    Mark this one as solved.
What I did to solve the issue?
-Installed a new 2 zones MTC set the mold cores at 45C and the cavities at 20C
-Made a reduction of temp (220C to 215)on the thermal...

    Re: Excessive contraction on cores.

Yep, I’ve already installed a new solenoid valve and line for each frontal air ejector and put a little delay of 0.1s on 2 of them and it works better. As you mention I think the issue it’s a over...

    Re: Excessive contraction on cores.

    Thanks for the advice.

I can’t redesign the mold, the thing I did was to alter the ejector solenoid valve activation sequence and got better results.
Actually I’m not running the process without...

    Re: Excessive contraction on cores.

I don't think its a friction issue, since the contraction of the piece it's blocking the air ejectors.
Actually I reached a good result turning off completely the chiller.

    Rare cosmetic defect

    Hi everyone!

Im ruling right now a very large thin wall IML project, the process is stable right now with scrap rates of 0.75%, and everything it's going well, but after a few days of non stop...
  7. Re: Random variation on cushion and part sticking to core.

Yes, just fixed it during the Tuesday morning (4am) after a long fight!

This is what I did to fix it:

Reduced shot size 0.15mm (63.50mm - 63.35mm) problem persisted but I noticed it was...
  8. Re: Random variation on cushion and part sticking to core.

    Hi Rick!!
Yes it is a thin wall IML high speed process.

    Recovery time takes around: 5.84s - 6.13s
Im able to monitor recovery pressure it is set to 12 and the real value its around: 11 - 14 kgs...
  9. Random variation on cushion and part sticking to core.

    Hi.

Im having trouble with my process, some times my cushion gets a sudden and apparently random reduction of about 1mm and this always causes a piece to stick to the core.

I just had to reduce a little of injection speed (210mm to 200mm) and temp on the drooling cavity nozzle.

Hello everyone and thanks in advance!

    Re: Thin wall IML defects

-2 cavity arranged vertically ( I don’t like the arrangement but the EOA came like that).
-Split line located at the cup rim.
-Reduced clamping force and it just got a really bad flash.
    -Reduced...

    Error code #?
Lube pumps tend to to fail when there’s air in the system.
Try purging the air from the grade lines.
  19. Re: PP Random Copolymer Moulding Issues

Try changing screw RPM or augmenting injection speed. Another thing you should check is your temperature profiles, since you work with thin wall I assume your cycle it’s really fast and the resin...
