Good morning all,
What are peoples views on tool maintenance?
How often and to what detail? I assume it should be based on the amount of cycles a tool has performed?
We usually have it sent in for a 'strip, clean and inspection'.
Any further advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi,
every toolmaker knows the best the tool inspection intervals.
For Your tools producer it is (or it should be) "the Must" to provide you with detail maintenance plan with timings and intervals.
So As several times here...Ask Your toolmaker at first.
Than Add it to Your tooling requirements as a condition for tool sign off acceptance criteria for the future.
