Anyone have success using Procerex with MoldVac to improve the appearance of weld/meld-lines? Material is gray Valox 357 (FR) Problem is not so much a visual weld line as it is discoloration from where the flow fronts meet.

Anyone have success using Procerex with MoldVac to improve the appearance of weld/meld-lines? Material is gray Valox 357 (FR) Problem is not so much a visual weld line as it is discoloration from where the flow fronts meet.
I have not used Procerax for this purpose, but I have worked with tools that had inserts just to provide venting at the knit line to improve appearance. Of course, you trade discoloration for a witness line, but I imagine that will be even worse with Procerax.
Yes, this works good but you will not a smooth finish in that area.

Yes, I'm aware of the surface differences, not sure if the customer will like it, but something has to be compromised. The inserts would be visible, but not on an outer surface.
