How are the presses now a days? How about the Service?
much better now, quality is better and so is service department
From my experiences over the last few months - not so great on the service end.
Our team here won't even consider them for future machines for this reason alone, and I believe our other plants have decided the same. It's very unfortunate because other guys in my office said that they use to be exceptional. I heard that there was a lot of turnover the last few years and "the good ones left."
We have about 30 presses that range from 7-20 years old and most of the run lights out 24/7. When we have issues we can't really afford to be down for more than a couple days, and that's why we are moving away from milacron.
I love milicrons working from 150-3500 ton machines they are my favorites but on the service end I’d agree they are lacking and not very efficient. I hated having a tech touch them there was always more problems than when they started working on them. Luckily I always had great plant maintenance to fix their mess ups!
