separate motor for plasticising

If i want to set up a separate motor for my injection unit which will be used only for plasticizing, how to calculate the power rating of the motor and what will be the flow rate for the pump. the details are as follows:

material- HDPE (MFI-7)
screw dia- 240 mm
screw RPM- 50

Can't those figures be found by looking at the current hydraulic motor currently running the recovery portion of the process? Then using that for the base line. But if you're going to all that trouble why don't you retrofit the press with a new gear box and electric screw drive motor? The OEM should be able to help there plus you should get a warranty and service calls a non-issue.
