I am a mold designer and we have Moldex3D flow software. Was just wondering if anyone else uses this tool and if they would like to trade/discuss, tips, tricks, and proceedures they use. Just for example; I also use SolidWorks to design and have found that creating the feed system as a seperate solid body in the part, orienting them with "Z" facing the intended inject side, selecting 1 of the bodies, and exporting them as an STL file, greatly simplifies the import proceedure in Moldex. Once in Moldex, you select the feed system and right click, select change attributes, choose cold runner/hot runner,etc.., and your done. Much easier than trying to create the runner system in Moldex. Anyone feel like sharing any thoughts?
