How do I find out what my shot size should be?

Kenny,
I tend to use this method for first shots on new molds. Weight a part, then using an appropriately sized scale, set shot strokes and purge onto press. Pick up the resin and set on cardboard tared on the scale until you get around 90% of the part weight. Then start molding parts.
