Hello All, I am inexperienced in thermoplastics and need help deciding on which material is better to choose:

I have a cellphone-like device that is made from ABS/PC and it needs to have a holder (holster) to which it can be inserted for storage and taken out for use repeatedly throughout the day. I understand that some wear marks are unavoidable completely however I want this holster to contribute as least as possible to the device scratching, basically we are talking about plastic on plastic friction with one of the plastics is ABS/PC

I am thinking of following scenarios:

1 - holster is also ABS/PC with its inner surface being "hi gloss" polished during mold tool production.
2 - Holster is made from Acetal (no fillers)
3 - Holster made from Nylon (no fillets)

Any thoughts or advises are welcome,
Thank you in advance.

Acetal wouldn't be a bad choice except being a high shrink material you may fight warp more than an amorphous material. Nylons are also more susceptible to warp. Perhaps a straight ABS with the high polish would provide enough difference to prevent the hand-held device from marring.
